Review for Key-Oh Lodge:
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Key-Oh Lodge and I was overall very satisfied with my stay. The hotel offers excellent value for money and spacious rooms that fully met my expectations.
The rooms at Key-Oh Lodge are generously sized and provide ample space to feel comfortable. The decor is modern and appealing, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always an important criterion for me.
The staff at Key-Oh Lodge were friendly and accommodating. They were always eager to make my stay as enjoyable as possible and were available to assist with any questions or concerns. The service was overall very good and I felt well taken care of.
The breakfast at Key-Oh Lodge was also very good. There was a wide selection of food and beverages, catering to both sweet and savory preferences. The quality of the food was high and it was regularly replenished, ensuring that there was always enough variety.
All in all, I highly recommend Key-Oh Lodge. It offers good value for money, spacious rooms, and friendly service. I would definitely stay there again.
The first night I check in on Sept 15, 2023 at night the customer service from the young First Nations girls were rude. They over charged me and said they didn't take Status cards. The young girl in the morning was very helpful refunded me my money and charged the right amount. Another when we got to our room there was garbage on the floor and it was dirty and the beds weren't fixed right. For the breakfast there was nothing but eggs and toast. Also the bath tub still had water in it. Will never stay there again and they need.
Place wasn’t cleaned from previous person had to go to the front desk and ask for clean sheets and bedding (that I changed myself) Front desk could care less about it. Was here for 6 days for work, room wasn’t cleaned once, still has hair all over and garbage from previous person. Left the service please tag on the door everyday just for a laugh to come back and still see it sitting there. Looks good on outside of building but nothing is done on the inside. Completely disappointed with this place. I left here laughing at how bad it is with my co worker, will not be coming back ps his room got looked at once In his 10 days here, and all they did was make the bed.
We stayed here when our camper vroke down on the way home from Alaska to Washington state. We have two very large dogs (Great Pyrenees) and they graciously accomodated us. Thank you so much.
Stayed for 8 days. Room was unclean, found bloody boogers on my wall and big nasty looking hairs in my tub, pubes on the toilet, soaps were not replenished during my stay, neither were the towels. The fridge was not cold at all. The breakfast area had not been cleaned well in a long time, take a look at the grease build up on the waffle machine picture I posted. Staff were very young with little training or oversight.
I will never stay here again. We were away for 10 days and this was by far the worst hotel. I really don't know how this hotel gets more than a 1 star review. The building looks very new but it is not being maintained inside. Our room was not clean, the bathroom floor was very dirty with dust and hairs, the toilet bowl and not been cleaned for a long time and there were stains on the carpet in the bedroom area. The breakfast area was not clean, hardly any food or coffee available. The next people having breakfast had to ask the girl at the front desk for cups for their coffee. I was quoted one amount by email for our room but it was more expensive when I got there, the young girl at the front desk just looked at me when I showed her my email and said the rate was ... At the front entrance the garbage was overflowing, it looked like it had not been emptied for quite a while. No sign of any staff other than the 2 young girls that worked at the front desk. I am not sure if they are having staffing issues but in its current state I would not stay there again.
Unfortunately all the recent poor reviews seem to be accurate; they mistakenly booked us for the following night and could only offer us a downgraded room, but at the same price. We had to reject the first room as it hadn’t been cleaned properly (and still had the previous occupants sanitary products in the bin). Service was very slow and apathetic. Also the breakfast area is very unclean.
This hotel is a disgrace. If I could have awarded less than 1 star I would have. I gave 5 stars for location but let's be honest, in a small place like Burns Lake it would be hard to have a poor location. The staff have zero concept of customer service and clearly not even a rudimentary training in the basics of running a hotel. We and another guest were pointedly ignored by front desk staff when trying to check in and it took 2 tries to get their reluctant attention. Then the key did not work and the access to wiFi was difficult, needing 3 trips back to the front desk for help. Despite boasting of daily housekeeping on the website our bathroom and main room were NOT CLEANED EVEN ONCE during a 4 night stay. An email to the manager resulted in fresh towels being placed on day 2 as we ran out by end of day 1, but even then the bathroom was not cleaned. The bed was NEVER made. We discovered a previous occupant's leftover food in the fridge. Our used coffee mugs were finally replaced on day 3 but the room left untouched. We did not need or want clean sheets but surely it is basic to make up the bed? Not at this hotel! Ditto for freshening and straightening room - never done. I dislike leaving negative reviews but as my private email to the manager outlining the above and more, still has not had the courtesy of a reply, I am left with no other option but to warn other travellers here to NOT stay at this terrible hotel, How it achieved 3 stars is baffling. We will never stay here again.
